Wow, Group 1! This was such a good idea for a program. I really love the great layout of your brochure. It looks so professional. I did notice three small typos, so if you want to actually do this program (and I think you should!) I would give the brochure a quick once-over again.
The promotion video was also a really nice touch and gave a really thorough overview. I particularly appreciated how well thought-out the details of each of the parts of the program. I thought it was cute about the work done in the winter months, “because you are not a bee!” The overview of the resources available was a really nice touch. The real-life resources seem like this is a program that you can (and should!) actually implement.
I think you did a great job of explaining what self-directed meant, and it really sets up participants with clear expectations of both what they will put into the program, but also what they will get if and when they do! Great work.

Your brochure was awesome and I really enjoyed looking through it. Brochures are always a great tool and people generally are going to take a brochure and look through it, rather than just being handed a piece of paper, its boring. I knew nothing about beekeeping or what it entailed. There was a lot of detailed information and it was easy to read. this could be really relaxing and a great learning experience for an adult.
All the activities seemed to include necessary beginner information and studies for beekeeping and a self directed program encourages the students to push themselves just a little bit harder to get the job done confidently.
I am also sure that being a bee keeper at a beginner level can be very scary at first, it would be cool to see how someone feels after completing the course and becoming a success bee keeper, they really have no one to thank but themselves and those that provides the resources along the way.
What a great program you have, I really think you guys did a great job and this should totally be done!

What a great job on your final project! I was looking forward to seeing all your promotional material after first viewing your project for the Program Design assignment. I really enjoy how you’ve taken such a specific subject, and one that is outside the realm of the traditional classroom setting to illustrate the idea of self-directed learning. Your program is truly built for adults who are looking to learn more about your subject, or become a beginner in practice. Your activities represent a nice balance of individual and group work, and hands-on versus bookwork. Thanks for introducing me to this world, and building an excellent adult/community educational program!
